Lahore: The Sultan of Swing and former Pakistan captain, Wasim Akram, has shared a rather interesting yet impactful piece of advice regarding fitness for young players.
According to details, the former fast bowler stated that players do not need to eat 36 naans; instead, they should eat less and focus more on maintaining their fitness.
He further emphasized that the real secret to fitness lies in eating in moderation and having self-control principles that he has personally followed for many years.
It is worth mentioning that fitness has long been a challenge among Pakistani cricketers. In this regard, the Pakistan national team recently underwent fitness tests as part of the central contract evaluation process.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to award central contracts to players based on both their performance and fitness levels, aiming to improve the overall standards of the national team.
