Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan leader and Member of the National Assembly Farooq Sattar has expressed strong displeasure over the removal of Kamran Tessori from the position of Governor Sindh.
In a statement, Farooq Sattar said that by removing Kamran Tessori as Governor Sindh, the federal government and the Prime Minister have sent a clear message that they no longer need MQM’s support.
He further stated that the party should treat the issue as a red line and consider immediately parting ways with the government.
Earlier, the MQM spokesperson had also said that the federal government did not take the party into confidence before deciding to change the Governor of Sindh. The spokesperson added that the party would soon announce its future course of action regarding the matter.
It is worth noting that the federal government has removed Kamran Tessori and appointed Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Nihal Hashmi as the new Governor of Sindh.
President Asif Ali Zardari has approved Nihal Hashmi’s appointment as Governor Sindh, and he is expected to take oath of office today.
