Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that on May 9, the enemies of the state challenged the nation’s resolve, and the real punishment will be given to those who hurt national identity.
According to details, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, in an interview with Turkish media, congratulated Tayyip Erdogan on his success in the elections. He emphasized that Pakistan and Turkey should have deep fraternal relations reflected in mutual trade volume. They desire cooperation and an increase in trade volume in various sectors with Turkey.
The Prime Minister stated that the previous government openly violated the IMF program. Last year, millions of people were affected by floods, and Turkey provided assistance. Rains and floods damaged basic infrastructure and crops on a large scale.
Regarding the IMF agreement, they stated that all IMF demands have been fulfilled. They expressed hope that transactions with the IMF would be carried out smoothly and the country has been successful in getting off the FATF gray list.
Shahbaz Sharif stated that a productive conversation took place with the IMF Managing Director over the phone and praised the bravery of the people of Pakistan.
Referring to the events that took place on May 9, the Prime Minister stated that the Chairman of the PTI was arrested in serious corruption cases on that day. If they were innocent, they could have been acquitted by the courts, but they had been preparing a group of fraudsters for a long time.
Their dual stance was to say that on May 9, the enemies of the state challenged the writ of the government in the form of a riot. The real punishment will be given to these anti-state elements.
Shahbaz Sharif said that their comrades were instructing people to go to a specific place and create a gathering. On May 9, Jinnah House and the memorials of the martyrs were illuminated, providing concrete evidence of serious actions against the state.
The Prime Minister clarified that the way national institutions and memorials were violated is unacceptable. Those who have harmed the national identity will be given real punishment.
They mentioned that those who have caused damage to military installations will have their cases heard in military courts. After the decision is reached in military courts, there is a right to two appeals.
