Islamabad: Caretaker Federal Minister for Energy and Electricity, Muhammad Ali, has stated that it is clear that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program will not be violated.
Speaking to the media, the concerned Federal Minister for Energy and Electricity, Muhammad Ali, said that along with ending circular debt, reforms will also be implemented, but issues cannot be resolved overnight.
He mentioned that our effort is to minimize the burden on the people, but we are currently in the IMF program and if there is a change in the dollar, it will bring about changes in electricity prices.
Muhammad Ali said that due to the dollar, the price of petrol also increases and there are many reasons for losses in the power sector.
He added that there are other issues including electricity theft. It has been two weeks, but clear changes will be seen within 2 months. We will make every effort to rectify things.
