After the Punjab government’s decision to withdraw the restriction on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), worker Khadija Shah, Lahore, Quetta police have arrested her.
Khadija Shah’s detention ended in Lahore, after which the Quetta police arrested her in the case of murder and attempted murder and took her to Quetta.
Justice Ali Baqir Najafi of the Lahore High Court, upon hearing the plea against the restriction on Khadija Shah, was informed by the government lawyer that the Punjab government has lifted the ban on Khadija Shah. However, she has been arrested by Quetta police in another case.
Khadija Shah’s lawyer said that Khadija was handed over to Quetta police against court orders.
The IG told the court that the Quetta police had made the arrest as per the law, The court adjourned the hearing after seeking a written reply from the IG.
