The appeal against the verdict of a ten-year sentence for a convicted individual by NAB on charges of incompetence will be heard today in the Islamabad High Court.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Justice Thaman Rifat Imtiaz will hear the appeal today.
NAB has requested the court to immediately suspend the decision of the single bench.
NAB has adopted a position that the convicted persons in NAB cases are referring to the High Court single bench decision to contest elections.
According to NAB, in June, the single bench reduced the period of disqualification to five years instead of ten.
An intra-court appeal was filed against the single bench judgment, now the single bench judgment is being referred to contest the elections.
NAB requested that the court immediately suspend the decision of the single bench in the intra-court appeal.
