Islamabad: Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmed Al-Maliki has extended best wishes for the Pakistani team in the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2024.
In his video message on Sunday, the Saudi envoy expressed confidence in the Pakistani team’s ability to win the tournament, saying, “My brothers (the Pakistani team), Insha’Allah, you will win this tournament, and the Pakistani nation will celebrate your victory. I am also a well-wisher for Pakistan’s happiness and progress.”
He also announced that if Pakistan wins the T20 World Cup, the team will be invited as royal guests for next year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
The Pakistani team will play its first match in the mega event against the United States on June 6 in Dallas. Following that, in the Green Shirts event, their second match will be against traditional rival India on June 9, Canada on June 11, and Ireland on June 16.
