The UN Security Council passed a resolution in support of US proposals for a ceasefire in Gaza. In the Security Council, 14 votes were cast in favor of the resolution while one member did not vote.
According to news agencies, Russia did not participate in the approval of the resolution.
The proposal for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas was approved by US President Joe Biden.
According to foreign media, the 15-member council members discussed the draft resolution for a week, after which the US finalized the resolution.
According to the resolution, Israel has accepted this ceasefire proposal.
In the resolution, Hamas has been demanded to accept this resolution and both sides to implement the resolution without any delay.
According to the resolution, the two warring parties will hold talks and during this time the ceasefire will continue.
In March, the Security Council also called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the immediate release of Israeli hostages by Hamas.
