The Punjab government submitted the report on the May 9 incident to the Supreme Court, which revealed that the riots in Punjab caused a financial loss of Rs 197 million, while 24,595 accused individuals from the May 9 events are still at large.
According to the report, acts of vandalism occurred in 38 cities across Punjab on May 9, damaging public and private property. In Lahore, properties worth Rs 110 million were damaged. Similarly, Rawalpindi lost Rs 26 million, and Mianwali suffered damages amounting to Rs 50 million.
