An unusual scene unfolded in Beijing right after the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. As soon as the talks ended, Kim’s aides rushed into the room and carefully wiped down his chair and the surrounding area.
A video of the moment, now circulating widely on social media, shows the North Korean staff meticulously erasing every trace of their leader’s presence. The clip has sparked curiosity online, with many commenting on the extraordinary level of caution.
Russian journalist Alexander Yunashiv explained on his YouTube channel, Yunashiv Live, that Kim’s team made sure to remove any possible DNA traces. He said the aides thoroughly cleaned the chair where Kim had been sitting and wiped down objects he had touched during the meeting.
According to Yunashiv, the glass from which Kim drank water was also quietly taken away by his staff. This careful routine, while unusual, seemed to be a standard precaution by the North Korean delegation.
Despite the peculiar cleanup, reports suggest the meeting itself remained positive. Both leaders appeared relaxed, even sharing tea before leaving the venue.
