The water level in the Indus River continues to rise, with inflow at Kotri Barrage increasing further, resulting in a medium-level flood at the site. According to the latest figures, water flow at Kotri Barrage has reached 398,000 cusecs, while the flow at Guddu Barrage has receded to normal levels.
The Flood Forecasting Division (FFD) Lahore reported that water inflow in the Sutlej River is also decreasing. At Ganda Singh Wala, the inflow has dropped to 54,000 cusecs, where a low-level flood persists.
The report further noted that water flow at Head Islam and Head Sulemanki has also begun to decline, though low-level flood conditions remain at these points. Authorities have said that the situation is being closely monitored and relevant institutions have been directed to remain on alert to deal with any possible emergencies.
