During the hearing of the Election Suspended Case in the Supreme Court, Justice Jamal Mandukhail said that the Supreme Court’s remarks were related to internal matters and my remarks were presented in the media with the wrong context. I stand by every word I wrote, and I had classified the matter of administrative powers as an internal matter.
Justice Jamal Mandukhail further said that we rejected the notes and requests at a rate of 4-3. When the court had not issued an order, how did the Election Commission set the date for the case?
The four judges rejected the requests, so how can this case proceed without an order? Perhaps it was my mistake that I could not explain it yesterday.
Chief Justice Omar Ata Bandial said that we want to take this case forward, and he directed Farooq H. Naik not to disrupt the atmosphere of the court.
Farooq H. Naik said that a full court should be formed for the hearing of the case, and a decision should be made first on whether the decision is 4-3.
Election Commission’s lawyer, Irfan Qadir, said that if you do not want to listen to me, then I will not present evidence on your request. Chief Justice said that the lawyer who was presenting evidence earlier should present evidence. The lawyer for the Election Commission presented evidence and left the Supreme Court.
