Implementation of the decision to observe three weekly holidays in government offices has begun in Balochistan as part of austerity measures, effectively introducing a four-day work week in the province.
According to a notification issued by the Government of Balochistan, government offices will remain closed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, while official work will be carried out only from Monday to Thursday.
The government stated that the decision has been taken in view of austerity measures and improved energy management to reduce public expenditure while ensuring efficient administrative operations.
Under the new schedule, several government offices remained closed today on Friday, marking the beginning of the new working pattern.
Officials said the initiative aims to promote efficient use of resources, reduce government spending, and improve administrative efficiency.
