Dubai has officially launched a driverless taxi service, introducing advanced autonomous vehicles to provide transportation for residents.
Authorities stated that driverless taxis have now begun operating on Dubai’s roads, offering travel services through modern automated technology.
The service has been introduced in collaboration with Chinese companies and has initially been launched in the areas of Umm Suqeim and Jumeirah.
According to media reports, 100 autonomous taxis have been added to Dubai’s transport network in the initial phase, with plans to gradually increase the number of vehicles in the future.
