Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan is entering a new phase of development through CPEC Phase II, describing the project as a key driver of prosperity and economic cooperation between Pakistan and China.
Speaking at the 105th anniversary celebration of the Chinese Communist Party, Dar said China’s leadership had lifted millions of people out of poverty through effective policies, while the Communist Party of China has played a vital role in strengthening Pakistan-China relations.
He said the friendship between Pakistan and China spans generations and continues to expand across multiple sectors.
Dar described the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor as a landmark initiative for economic growth, investment and shared prosperity, adding that CPEC Phase II will further accelerate Pakistan’s development.
The deputy prime minister also said Pakistan initiated mediation efforts during recent regional tensions and worked closely with China to promote regional and global peace.
