Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has said that his government has no objection if the federal government establishes a coordination body, provided that executive powers remain with the provinces as guaranteed under the Constitution.
Speaking to the media in Karachi, Murad Ali Shah said the 18th Constitutional Amendment granted significant powers to the provinces, and those constitutional powers must remain intact.
He said executive authority rests with the provinces, while both the federal and provincial governments are establishing new intelligence institutions to strengthen coordination and security.
The chief minister also condemned prolonged electricity outages in Sindh, particularly in Karachi, where residents are facing between 12 and 18 hours of load shedding.
He further alleged that the federal government is not allowing Sindh to develop wind and solar power projects, describing the situation as difficult to understand.
