Former senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jahangir Khan Tareen, has established a new political party called “Istehkam Pakistan” (Strengthening Pakistan).
Announcing the formation of the new political party under the name of “Istehkam Pakistan,” former provincial minister Aleem Khan said that after the events of May 9, we have decided to establish a new party.
Aleem Khan stated that we aim to create a Pakistan where the parliament, judiciary, and establishment are on the same page.
Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, he said that Jahangir Tareen played a significant role in bringing us all together on one platform through his seniority. We have united on one platform due to Jahangir Tareen’s political insight.
Jahangir Tareen stated, “Today, we are laying the foundation of the new political party ‘Istehkam Pakistan.’ On this occasion, former senior leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), including former Governor of Sindh Imran Ismail, former Federal Minister Aamir Kiani, Ali Zaidi, Fawad Chaudhry, former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, Firdous Ashiq Awan, and Fiaz Chohan were also present.”
They said that the country is going through a delicate situation, and the need to establish a new party arose because my objective, from entering politics until now, has been to contribute to the development of the country.
They mentioned that during their political journey, they had the opportunity to meet many people and work with them. They have learned a lot from their experiences and political insight. They emphasized that they are not conventional politicians but came into politics with a specific purpose, and that same passion led them to join PTI.
