Sindh Information Minister Shergil Memon has stated that people from interior Sindh come to Karachi, and no one has the authority to stop them.
Speaking in the Sindh Assembly, Sharjeel Memon said that people come to Karachi from Afghanistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and even from Sindh. However, Karachi belongs to Sindh, and no one has the authority to prevent anyone from coming here. You say that people come from interior Sindh; who are you to make such statements when the one who attempted to oppose has fled to London?
Sharjeel Memon further added that many people talk about hatred but do not talk about unity. Look at the condition of those who engage in the politics of hatred; it is evident to everyone.
Regarding the cyclone, Sharjeel Memon mentioned that the warning of a tsunami made the leadership of the Pakistan People’s Party mobilize. The party leadership remained in constant contact with the administrative authorities. Within three days, 74,000 individuals were evacuated from affected areas, and relief camps were set up to provide food and aid. The federal government did not fulfill its promises made to Sindh; they did not allocate funds for the flood-affected people.
