Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has stated that elections will take place in November, with a potential delay of one to two months under specific circumstances.
During an interview with American TV, the Defense Minister mentioned that by the evening of August 9th, the assembly will be dissolved, and according to the constitution, elections must be held within 90 days. A delay of more than two months in holding elections is not feasible.
Furthermore, in a conversation with the media, Khawaja Asif remarked that elections should be held within one to two months, as there are no new constituencies being formed, and Nawaz Sharif will definitely return to Pakistan before the elections.
