The hearing on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman’s request to suspend the sentence will be held again today in the Islamabad High Court.
The Islamabad High Court will once again hear the request to suspend the sentence of the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) today.
During the previous hearing, the lawyer for the Election Commission, Amjad Parvez, was unable to appear due to illness.
The court has also ordered the Election Commission to arrange for an alternate lawyer today.
Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, Aamer Farooq, remarked that what the trial court did was wrong. While we could do what the trial court did, we won’t. If evidence is not presented on Monday, we will issue a verdict.
Remember that the Chairman of PTI has filed a request in the Islamabad High Court to suspend the 3-year sentence given by the trial court in the Tosha khana case.
Imran Khan’s lawyer, Sardar Latif Khosa, has completed his arguments in the case and has opposed the decision of the trial court in favor of the decision of the Islamabad High Court.
