The return of the Asia Cup to Pakistan after a gap of 15 years will be marked by the opening match between Green Shirts and Nepal.At the start of the event, Aima Baig and Nepalese singers will perform in a colorful ceremony.
The first match of ODI Asia Cup 2023 will be between Pakistan and Nepal at Multan Cricket Stadium which will start at 2.30 pm while there will be a colorful ceremony at the start of the tournament.
The vibrant opening ceremony will feature performances by Aima Baig and a Nepali vocalist, showcasing their vocal talents.
On the other hand, Pakistan has also announced its 11-member squad for the first match of the Asia Cup against Nepal. The national team has made three changes in the first match of the event.
It has been decided to replace Saud Shakeel, Wasim Jr and all-rounder Faheem Ashraf in Pakistan’s playing XI with Iftikhar Ahmed, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah.
The Pakistan team for the opening match includes captain Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Imamul Haq, Salman Ali Agha, Iftikhar Ahmed, Muhammad Rizwan, Muhammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf.
