The arrangements for the central procession of Chehlum in Karachi have been completed. Central routes of the procession have been sealed off with containers.
According to PakAlert News, the central procession of Karachi, the country’s largest city, will begin from Nishtar Park, while the procession will conclude at the Imam Bargah Husainia Iraniya in Kharaadar. Stringent security measures have been put in place for the central procession.
Extraordinary security measures have been taken around the central procession of Chehlum. CCTV cameras will monitor the procession, and shops along the procession route have also been sealed off.
Bomb disposal squads will conduct security checks at the procession’s route. Police, Rangers, and other law enforcement agencies will carry out security duties.
Special pass-holding vehicles will be allowed to enter the procession. M.A. Jinnah Road will be closed to regular traffic during the procession, and alternative routes will be provided for the citizens.
On the other hand, in Lahore, the central procession of Chehlum Imam Ali’s high stature will start from Haveli Alif Shah Dehli Gate. The procession will pass through the Masjid Wazir Khan and reach the Shia locality of Mochi Gate. After that, the procession will reach Mahalla Chahota Mufti Baqir.
The main Chehlum procession coming from Lahore will reach Old Kotwali through its traditional routes, where the mourners will offer noon prayers,After performing the noon prayer, the procession will proceed towards Bazar Hakiman wala through the traditional routes.
The procession will proceed along its traditional route and reach Bhatti Gate, where devotees will engage in chain beating. From Bhatti Chowk, the procession will continue its journey, culminating at Karbala Gham e Shah, marking the conclusion of the event.
