During an intelligence-based operation in Lahore, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) apprehended 10 terrorists, including a banned TTP commander.
According to the spokesperson for the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), CTD conducted 117 operations in various cities of Punjab, during which 10 terrorists were apprehended in intelligence-based operations.
The spokesman said that the operation was carried out in Lahore, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur and Sargodha, 5 terrorists including commander of banned TTP Qasim Afghani have been arrested from Lahore.
CTD spokesman said that explosives, IEDs, 3 detonators, hand grenades, mobile phones, arms and cash were recovered while the terrorists were identified as Agha, Nauman, Atta-ul-Rahman and Osama.
The spokesman further said that the other terrorists identified as Siddique, Shahnawaz, Sufyan, Safdar, Abdul Haq and Qasim Afghani were planning to attack important installations.
