The Sindh High Court declared former Speaker National Assembly Fahmida Mirza and her husband Zulfiqar Mirza eligible to contest the coalition.
The Sindh High Court accepted the constitutional petitions of both.
Fahmida Mirza and Zulfikar Mirza submitted their nomination papers from National Assembly Constituency NA-223. Apart from the National Assembly, Zulfiqar Mirza also submitted nomination papers from PS 70, 71, 72.
The Returning Officer and the Election Tribunal had rejected the nomination papers of both on the allegations of bank default.
Zulfiqar Mirza and Fahmida Mirza had filed constitutional petitions in the Sindh High Court against the decision of the Appellate Tribunal, on which they were declared eligible to contest the election today.
