Islamabad: Good news for the people, the government is likely to give relief to the people in petroleum products, the price of petrol is expected to be reduced by 13 rupees and diesel by 8 rupees.
The possibility of reduction in the prices of petroleum products is being shown for the second time in the next 15 days. Sources of the Ministry of Petroleum say that the global price of petrol decreased by 7.26 dollars per barrel, after which the global price of petrol has reached the level of 98.99 dollars per barrel.
The possibility of reduction in the price of diesel by 8 rupees 30 paise per liter is being shown. Globally, diesel prices fell by $4.68 to $99.37 per barrel.Sources also say that from May 16, Pakistan refineries and oil marketing companies are hoping that due to the large-scale reduction in POL prices in the last 10 days and the stoppage of smuggled POL products from Iran, the supply of petroleum products will increase. Consumption will increase.
The government is also charging Rs 60 per liter as petroleum levy on petrol and diesel while dealers are getting a margin of Rs 8.64 per liter on both products. The current price of petrol is 288 rupees 49 paise per liter while diesel is being sold at 281 rupees 96 paise per liter. It should be remembered that earlier the government had reduced the prices of petroleum products on May 1.
According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol was reduced by 5 rupees 45 paise per liter while the price of diesel was reduced by 8 rupees 42 paisa. After the reduction in prices, the new price of petrol was Rs 288 49 paise per liter and the new price of diesel was Rs 281 96 paise per litre.
