The Attorney General of Pakistan has written a letter to the Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar on the issue of criticism in the Senate on the remarks of the Chief Justice.
In a letter written to Prime Minister Nazir Tarar, the Attorney General said that the Chief Justice did not make any remarks regarding Nawaz Sharif during the NAB amendment case.
The letter states that some MPs commented on the Chief Justice’s remarks. The Chief Justice’s remarks were reported on social media as untrue.
The Attorney General added in the letter that while personally present in the court, the Chief Justice had said that an honest Prime Minister had been removed. The Chief Justice did not say that there was only one honest Prime Minister in the country.
The letter said that as the law minister, the parliamentarians should inform the facts.
