Bad News for the Public Struggling with Inflation: Petroleum Prices Likely to Increase from January 1st
According to sources, the price of diesel is expected to rise by more than 4 rupees per liter, while the price of petrol may remain unchanged. Additionally, an increase of 1 rupee per liter is anticipated for kerosene oil.
Sources from the Petroleum Division have stated that the announcement of changes in petroleum prices will be made on December 31st, with the Finance Minister, in consultation with the Prime Minister, announcing the new prices.
While the government claims to have controlled inflation, its effects have yet to reach the common people. In this context, the rising prices of petrol are likely to further increase the difficulties faced by the middle class.
