Karachi: The stock market began the new year with a surge.
The stock exchange is showing a positive trend today, resulting in the index crossing the 116,000-point mark.
On the third business day of the week and the first day of the new year, the market opened with an increase of 919 points, pushing the KSE-100 Index to 116,046 points.
Subsequently, the PSX witnessed a gradual rise of 1,522 and then 1,828 points, bringing the 100 Index to 116,955 points.
