Pakistani actor and renowned host Danish Taimoor has come under criticism for his remarks regarding four marriages.
Danish Taimoor, who began his acting career in 2005 with the horror drama Mystery Series, is regarded as a talented artist who quickly gained recognition in the entertainment industry. His career is not limited to television dramas, as he also made his film debut in 2015 with Yasir Jaswal’s thriller Jalaibee and later appeared in Wrong Number (2015) and Mehrunisa V Lub U (2017) alongside actress Sana Javed.
Beyond his acting career, Danish Taimoor’s personal life is often seen as an example of a successful marriage. He tied the knot with actress Ayeza Khan in 2014, turning their love into a strong marital bond. The couple has two children, a daughter, Hoorain, and a son, Rayan.
Currently, Danish Taimoor is co-hosting Green Entertainment’s special Ramadan transmission alongside former news anchor and television host Rabia Anum.
During one of the live segments, while discussing marriage, Danish Taimoor made a statement about four marriages that sparked controversy. He remarked, “Allah has allowed men to have four marriages. Although I am not doing it, that is a different matter, but I have the right because Allah has given it to me.”
He further clarified, “I will not do it because I love and respect my wife. But still, I have this right.”
Previously, Danish had also stated that he is happy with his current marriage and has no intention of considering a second one.
However, his statement did not sit well with social media users, who heavily criticized him in the comment section. Many expressed their disapproval, arguing that his remark was disrespectful to Ayeza Khan and that he should have been more mindful.
Some users pointed out that Islam allows four marriages under specific conditions, but men often reference this right without acknowledging the necessary responsibilities and conditions attached to it.
