Aggressive opener Fakhar Zaman, who represents Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), has overtaken Mohammad Rizwan in the record for most fifties in the league.
Yesterday, Lahore Qalandars’ opener Fakhar Zaman scored his 21st PSL fifty against Karachi Kings at National Bank Stadium, surpassing Mohammad Rizwan in the tally for most half-centuries.
He played an innings of 76 runs off 46 balls, including 6 fours and 5 sixes.
Multan Sultans’ captain Mohammad Rizwan has so far scored 20 PSL fifties, while Fakhar has now become the second-highest half-century scorer in the league with 21 fifties.
The record for the most half-centuries in PSL is held by Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam, who has reached the 50-run mark 33 times so far.
All-rounder Shoaib Malik has scored 15 fifties, while Kiwi batter Colin Munro has made 13 fifties in the league.
