Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, has urged U.S. President Donald Trump to take steps to resolve the Kashmir issue.
He stated that Kashmir has become a nuclear flashpoint between the two countries, and if India initiates an attack, it could lead to a dangerous situation between two nuclear powers.
In an interview with an American TV channel, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh said that instead of addressing its administrative shortcomings, India is focusing on external issues.
He added that Pakistan desires peace, and this desire should not be mistaken for weakness.
The Pakistani ambassador also offered India a proposal for an impartial investigation into the Pahalgam attack and stated that Pakistan considers India’s attempt to block water as an act of war. He further said that the region cannot afford instability.
