Pakistan has successfully tested a surface-to-surface missile with a range of 450 kilometers.
According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the missile test was conducted during the Indus exercises. The purpose of the test was to ensure military operational readiness and verify key technical parameters, including the missile’s advanced navigation system and improved mobility features.
The Abdali missile test was conducted in the presence of the Commander of the Army Strategic Forces Command, senior officials from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Strategic Forces Command, and scientists and engineers from Pakistan’s strategic organizations.
The President, Prime Minister, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and heads of the services congratulated the military leadership, personnel, scientists, and engineers involved in the Abdali missile program on the successful test.
These leaders expressed full confidence in the operational preparedness and technical capabilities of Pakistan’s strategic military forces to ensure national security against any aggression.
The successful missile test comes at a time when tensions between Pakistan and India have peaked following the Pahalgam attack.
