Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced a 16-member national squad for the three-match T20 series against Bangladesh, with several senior players rested and opportunities given to new and young talent.
All-rounder Salman Ali Agha will lead the team in the series, while Shadab Khan will serve as vice-captain. All matches will be played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, though the schedule will be announced later.
Fast bowlers Hasan Ali, Naseem Shah, and Mohammad Wasim Jr. return to the squad, while Fakhar Zaman, Hussain Talat, Sahibzada Farhan, Faheem Ashraf, and Saim Ayub have also been included. For cricket fans, this series presents a fresh opportunity to watch young players in action.
Several key players have been rested or dropped for this series, including fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, former captain Babar Azam, and wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan. Others not part of the squad include Abdul Samad, Jahandad Khan, Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Ali, Umair bin Yousuf, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Usman Khan.
