The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has advised the public to make the use of masks mandatory in crowded places and healthcare facilities.
According to NCOC, guidelines were issued until April 30 to curb the trend of COVID-19 in the country.
Meanwhile, health officials reported 129 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours across the country.
According to the National Institute of Health (NIH) statistics, the positivity rate of positive cases was 2.98 percent while 14 patients were in critical condition.
However, there were no deaths reported due to COVID-19, while 4,334 tests for COVID-19 were conducted.
In Lahore, 523 tests were conducted, out of which 43 positive cases were confirmed at a ratio of 8.22 percent, while in Rawalpindi, 225 tests were conducted, out of which 3 positive cases were confirmed at a ratio of 1.33 percent.
In addition, 333 tests were conducted in Islamabad, out of which 14 positive cases were confirmed at a ratio of 4.20 percent.
