Beijing: The Chinese Foreign Ministry has announced that President Xi Jinping and Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin will visit Russia during March 20-22 upon a request made by the Russian side.
According to foreign media, the meeting will focus on further strengthening bilateral relations between the two leaders. Important agreements between the two countries will also be signed, but no details have been provided in this regard so far.
It is noteworthy that this will be the Chinese President’s first visit to Russia after the February 2022 attack on Ukraine. Previously, in September 2022, the Chinese President met his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Uzbekistan during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.
