The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has directed all universities to conduct a mandatory pre-hoc analysis of MDCAT 2025 examination papers to eliminate any out-of-syllabus questions and ensure the highest testing standards.
According to details, the MDCAT 2025 examination will be held on October 26, with a total of 140,125 candidates registered. Thirty-five examination centers have been set up across the country, along with one international center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The test will be conducted by universities, while PMDC will not be directly administering it.
PMDC has already shared the exam policy and structure with the universities. All institutions conducting the exam have been granted access to the National Item Bank and are required to strictly adhere to PMDC’s standards during paper setting, development, and printing.
Universities have been instructed to carry out the pre-hoc analysis to remove any out-of-syllabus questions and maintain the strict confidentiality of the exam papers. The papers will only be opened in the presence of official witnesses.
Admit cards for the test will be issued seven days before the examination, while universities are required to announce the official results within seven days after the exam.
