Renowned TV and film actress Sarwat Gilani has openly criticized the team behind the film Jawani Phir Nahi Ani for what she described as unprofessional and unfair treatment.
In a recent interview, the actress revealed that she has refused to work in the third installment of the franchise. She said that although she respects Nadeem Baig, Humayun Saeed, and Ahmed Ali Butt, she does not wish to reprise her role as “Gul.”
Sarwat Gilani stated that during the promotion of Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, the production team treated her in an unprofessional manner. She shared that she booked her own travel arrangements to London but received no response or confirmation from the team. According to her, this made her feel undervalued and sidelined once her work was done.
The actress further alleged that many of her scenes in both films were cut, which she described as highly disrespectful to any artist. She firmly stated that she will no longer compromise on her self-respect and professional dignity in the future.
