A crucial meeting of the government alliance is scheduled to take place shortly to develop consensus on the 27th Constitutional Amendment. The Prime Minister is expected to meet senior leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for detailed discussions.
According to sources, the meeting of the coalition partners will focus on proposals related to the amendment, and the PPP will present its recommendations before the Prime Minister for further consideration.
Additionally, an MQM delegation will meet the Prime Minister today at 12 pm. During the meeting, the Prime Minister will brief the MQM leadership on the 27th Amendment and take them into confidence regarding the government’s position. The MQM delegation will also present its proposals regarding constitutional amendments related to local governments.
Sources added that MQM is likely to recommend approval of the proposed amendments concerning the local government system.
