A high-level meeting was held in Karachi under the chairmanship of Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, during which significant decisions were made regarding public service delivery, development projects, and government recruitments across the province. The meeting focused on strengthening administrative performance and ensuring efficient governance mechanisms.
During the session, the Chief Secretary directed that advertisements for provincial government jobs must be published on the official job portal by the end of January, ensuring timely, transparent, and accessible employment opportunities for the public. He emphasized that this move is pivotal for maintaining merit-based recruitment and strengthening institutional transparency.
Asif Haider Shah informed the meeting that the sessions of the provincial cabinet have now been fully digitalized, a step that will greatly enhance transparency and expedite the decision-making process. He further instructed that complaints received through the Prime Minister’s Complaint Cell should be addressed without delay, ensuring swift resolution of citizens’ issues.
The Chief Secretary also issued clear directives to all secretaries, urging them to ensure the timely completion of development projects and further improve the quality of public service delivery. He stated that pension cases must be finalized within one year, while medical reimbursement matters should be resolved within six months, so that retired employees and government personnel do not face unnecessary delays.
Concluding the meeting, Asif Haider Shah reaffirmed that delivering efficient, improved, and timely public services remains the top priority of the Sindh government, as enhanced public facilitation is essential for effective governance.
