After the kidnapping of Pakistani nationals by Somali pirates, the government of Somalia has formally assured Pakistan of full cooperation, raising hopes for the safe recovery of the hostages.
According to diplomatic sources, the Somali government has committed to providing all possible assistance to ensure the safe return of the abducted Pakistani citizens and is taking necessary steps in this regard.
Sources stated that Pakistan had formally raised the issue of the abduction of 10 of its citizens with the Somali authorities, after which communication between the two countries has intensified.
It is worth noting that more than 10 Pakistani crew members were taken hostage after Somali pirates seized the vessel Honour 25, including individuals belonging to Karachi, which has caused serious concern among their families.
The families of the abducted individuals are in deep distress and have urged the government to take immediate and effective action to secure the safe release of their loved ones.
