Islamabad: Former Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has questioned the nature of the friendship that results in Saudi Arabia and China being asked for money every other day.
According to details, while giving an interview to Voice of America, the former minister of the Shahbaz government, Miftah Ismail, said that the Saudi minister had said in a statement that those who come to ask for money should do something themselves.
Miftah Ismail said that what kind of friendship is it that results in asking Saudi Arabia and China for money every other day.
The former finance minister said that in 75 years, the current account surplus was only present for 3 years, the umbrella doesn’t spread when you just look at it, and politics has become a war of power only.
He further said that due to aristocracy, the country has lagged behind a lot, and if our direction is wrong, then it needs to be changed.
Last week, former finance minister Miftah Ismail said during a speech that it will not work by taking money from Saudi Arabia or anyone else, the country’s economic situation is very bad.
Miftah Ismail said that Pakistan is currently going through the worst crisis, and we will have to spend another 2 to 3 years in this crisis. It is time to change the government structure now.
