Former President Asif Ali Zardari has stated that the riots in cities are regrettable and shameful, and the spread of such acts will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Reacting to the riots that took place in Karachi and other cities following the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, Asif Zardari said that after Imran Khan’s arrest, the riots in the cities are regrettable and shameful. He stated that he spent 14 years in jail, but he never allowed anyone to take the law into their own hands.
Asif Zardari stated that the government’s properties and the spreading of unrest will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Imran Khan has been arrested on corruption charges, and he should face the courts.
The former president further said that the leaders of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have spent their lives in jail, but they never took the law into their own hands. Imran Khan should not be afraid or run away, but should face the cases against him.
