Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif stated that the crude oil imported from Russia is cheaper compared to the global market, costing $15 per barrel. On the federal budget for the next fiscal year, Shahbaz Sharif said that the government has given relief to the common man in the budget.
Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad, Shahbaz Sharif mentioned that the name of the IJP Road has been changed to Captain Colonel Sher Khan Road. Nations that remember and honor their martyrs and heroes become successful. The martyrs saved every inch of the country from its enemies. They sacrificed their lives, leaving their children as orphans, but they saved millions of children from becoming orphans.
He further expressed that on 9th May, the entire nation bowed its head in shame. Every citizen who loves the country cannot even fathom such incidents.
Regarding the Russian crude oil, the Prime Minister mentioned that the false propaganda of regime change agents has been exposed. A contract for 100,000 tons of crude oil has been signed with Russia, and the first shipment of 41,000 tons has already arrived and anchored. This oil is available in the international market at $15 per barrel.
Regarding the upcoming federal budget for the next fiscal year, Shahbaz Sharif stated that the government has provided relief to the common man in the budget by ensuring minimum wages, increased salaries, and pensions. However, he emphasized that economic stability in the country is not possible without political stability.
He further expressed that divisive statements and dividing people cannot lead the country towards progress. The previous government failed to safeguard the International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreement, causing harm to the country. We have fulfilled all the conditions of the IMF, so the agreement will soon be finalized.
The Prime Minister mentioned that the Solid Waste Management project in Islamabad was non-existent, and its system will be introduced soon. Additionally, the launch of a scheme providing 100,000 laptops for the youth will commence in July.
