Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, has rejected the Karachi mayor’s election, stating that democracy has been attacked by subverting the mandate of the people.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman stated that the people of Karachi have been deceived and their mandate has been stolen. He condemned the manipulation of the results and actions related to the election of the mayor and deputy mayor. He extended congratulations to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on their victory.
Hafiz Naeem stated that in their preferred constituencies, 15,000 voters were grouped, while in opposition areas, constituencies were created with 50,000 voters. The control of Karachi’s mandate is being seized. They reject the results and actions of the mayor and deputy mayor’s elections.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi said that the people of this city want water in pipelines, not in tankers. What has Mustafa Kamal done as an administrator? The Pakistan People’s Party has never delivered in Karachi.
Hafiz Naeem announced that he will go to court against the election of the mayor.
Hafiz Naeem stated that 31 members of the PTI were declared absent. They had not been in contact with these members for the past two days. How long will they keep Uschi Chairmenz colluded? We will not remain silent on the theft of the mandate. We are not the ones who will abandon the field. We will take the issue of the mayoral election to the court.
