The Accountability Court has issued a detailed verdict in the plot allotment case of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The written decision was announced by Judge Rao Abdul Jabbar of the Accountability Court, stating that placing Nawaz Sharif on the Exit Control List (ECL) is not in accordance with the law.
The written verdict highlighted that the records indicate that Nawaz Sharif has been targeted as a symbol of political revenge, and the court orders to acquit a three-time elected Prime Minister are meant to undermine him.
The verdict stated that the previous government compelled the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to pursue references to destroy Nawaz Sharif’s future. It was mentioned that the same relief granted to the central accused should also be granted to Nawaz Sharif.
According to the verdict, imposing an advertisement ban or the same punishment on Nawaz Sharif is not the correct procedure, and a complete procedure was not followed in taking action to place advertisements against him.
