Federal Investigative Agency (FIA) is conducting investigations into the Cypher affair. The FIA questioned the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Shah Mahmood Qureshi, and Asad Umar for several hours, and they provided answers to the queries. The Chairman of PTI, Imran Khan, will also visit the FIA headquarters.
The FIA is conducting investigations against Chairman PTI, Imran Khan, in connection with the Cypher case. Additionally, Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Asad Umar have been included in the inquiry.
Following his appearance before the FIA, Shah Mahmood Qureshi affirmed the reality of the Cypher issue during a media conversation. He stated that Cypher was a reality and remains one. The political drama was brewed up in the Foreign Office.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi stated that he was questioned by the FIA head, and he had already responded to notices before. He had sought the questionnaire and had appeared earlier on 6th December, and today he responded according to the information he possessed.
He mentioned that several meetings were convened regarding the Cypher issue. One meeting was chaired by the PTI Chairman, and another was presided over by Shehbaz Sharif. Both meetings expressed concerns about the Cypher matter.
He further explained that interference was acknowledged in both meetings, attempts were made to push the matter forward, and the opposition had boycotted the meetings at that time. No one is allowed to interfere in Pakistan’s affairs.
