The Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, has stated that illegal residents, particularly non-resident Pakistanis, are adversely affecting Pakistan’s economy. The government’s decision to repatriate non-residents is in the best interest of Pakistan.
According to the Public Relations Department of Pakistan Army (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir visited Peshawar and was received by Corps Commander Peshawar on his arrival.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has revealed that the Chief of Army Staff received a briefing on the repatriation of illegal resident foreigners, the overall security situation, ongoing counter-terrorism operations, and socio-economic development progress in newly merged districts.
On this occasion, Army Chief General Asim Munir met the officers and soldiers and said that the nation is proud of the performance of the armed forces, success is the destiny of Pakistan, Pakistan Army will continue to protect the motherland till the last drop of blood.
Addressing the participants of the National Workshop Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief of Pakistan Army General Asim Munir said that with the support of the people in the province, progress has been made on the projects, the nefarious intentions of the enemy forces are being thwarted.
The Army Chief also highlighted the significance of economic development in the newly merged districts. He emphasized that the economy is being adversely affected by the presence of illegal resident foreigners, and the government’s decision to repatriate them is in the best interest of Pakistan. The repatriation of illegal foreign residents is being carried out in a dignified manner.
