Srinagar: Kashmiris residing on both sides of the Line of Control and worldwide, including in Pakistan, are marking India’s Republic Day as a Black Day to protest against the denial of their right to self-determination by India.
On the appeal of the All-Party freedom movement Conference, anti-India demonstrations and rallies are being held in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan and the capitals of various countries to send a message to the international community that India, which has taken away all the basic rights of Kashmiris and has placed them in the occupied territory. You have no right to celebrate your own Republic Day.
Voices of the Victims, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Movement, Tehreek Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Alliance, Jammu and Kashmir Political Resistance Movement and Youth Freedom Fighters through their statements, messages and posters celebrated Indian Republic Day with the people of Srinagar and other areas of the Kashmir Valley.
They have appealed to boycott official functions and hoist black flags on their houses, shops and other buildings.
