Lahore senior lawyer Hamid Khan, once again declaring the trial of civilians in military courts illegal, has also declared military courts unconstitutional in the process.
Senior lawyer and PTI leader Hamid Khan, along with representatives of Lahore High Court Bar and Lahore Bar Association, expressed strong condemnation of military courts in a press conference. He stated that military courts are illegal and unconstitutional, emphasizing that the caretaker government has no right to appeal against the Supreme Court’s decision.
Hamid Khan said that the Supreme Court’s first decision against military courts was absolutely right.
On this occasion, the President of Lahore High Court Bar, Ishtiaq A. Khan, remarked that specific judges with a predetermined mindset are selected to deliver decisions as desired. He mentioned that six senior judges have already made incorrect statements about military courts, and now junior judges are opposing them.
