According to the details, a fire suddenly broke out in the FIA immigration hall of Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, which immediately engulfed the entire area. Due to the fire, there was a stampede among the passengers, the authorities evacuated the immigration hall.
The gathering smoke around the immigration hall due to the fire made it difficult for citizens to navigate. After the fire, immigration operations were halted, causing inconvenience to travelers. Due to the malfunction in the immigration system, the Sri Lankan airline’s flight was diverted, and the Hajj flight departing from Lahore was also suspended.
After receiving the information about the fire, rescue and fire brigade personnel reached the spot and after several hours of struggle, the fire was brought under control.According to the initial investigation, the cause of the fire is said to be short circuit.
